The Corporate Health & Safety team at SMBC are professionally qualified, knowledge and experience, and are dedicated to providing support and guidance in relation to all health & safety matters.
Our Health & Safety support service includes the following:
- Unlimited advice and guidance via telephone and email in addressing queries.
- Support and assistance in the maintenance and development of Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Access to exemplar/model policies, school safety guidance, risk assessments and forms.
- Health & safety audits (including documented recommendations and action plans).
- Support with accident reporting, recording and investigations
- Support with RIDDOR reporting and liaison with HSE and other enforcement agencies.
- Provision of health & safety reports.
- Provision of periodical health & safety newsletter, safety alerts and circulars detailing changes to legislation and best practice.
- On-site visits and support.
In addition to the above, PPS also provides e-learning, virtual and/or classroom training in relation to:
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Principles of Risk Assessments
- CoSHH assessment principles
- Accident reporting, recording and investigations
- Health and Safety for School Senior Leadership Team
